From the free parking area, start walking along the beach (left, facing the ocean). You’ll discover hidden trails, virgin beaches like Playa Grande, a crystal-clear river with drinkable water , and small waterfalls – perfect for a picnic or refreshing swim.
Tips for an epic day: Bring insect repellent, comfy shoes, and water. During nesting season (July–December), you may see sea turtles
! The hike is easy (30–45 minutes). For more adventure, try the trail to Playa Palmeras, where you can float in natural rock pools.

This triple waterfall (40 meters total height) is one of Costa Rica’s most famous. The tallest (25m) cascades into a natural pool, perfect for swimming . The other two have smaller pools for cliff jumps (
